Lucky Bamba is a London based artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer.
From the likes of some of London’s new wave most important characters such as Tom Misch & Bruno Major, his sound alternates between Jazz, R&B and Pop. Soft and shimmery guitar arrangements create a unique soulful and smooth sound. His voice and his 335 guitar are his best allies when it comes to portraying his life and adventures as a multicultural songwriter.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, he started playing piano at the early age of six years old, being this the beginning of his love and passion for music which took him to master the bass, drums and guitar years later.
In 2015 he attended Berklee College of Music where he officially launched his musical career as a performing artist and composer. In the following years he toured Europe as a performer with different jazz bands and worked on his identity as a songwriter while he travelled the continent.
In 2018 he moved to London to develop his solo career as Lucky Bamba. Working side by side with producers such as Chris Kimsey (Rolling Stones) and Miles Showell he has been releasing multiple singles and performing around the UK. His first album will be released in 2021.
Making my own guitar /
"Music is the best language I use to portray all my feelings and emotions. The guitar, my perfect interlocutor.
I'm a total fan of this instrument. I can't imagine how my life would feel like without being able to play it.
In early 2015 I began making my own acoustic guitar totally from scratch.
Guided throughout the whole journey by a luthier, we started off with some disjointed pieces of wood and just an idea in mind.
After almost 3 years of hard work, my acoustic guitar was finally completed.
I can’t describe how fulfilling it feels to be able to create music with the guitar I have built with my own hands.
Art in its most pure state."
